Keeping Our Children Safe at Berkley
'Safeguarding is everybody's responsibility
At Berkley First School, we are fully committed to safeguarding and protecting all our pupils. Our aim is to promote their welfare, safety, health, and well-being by creating an honest, open, caring, and supportive environment.
Your child’s welfare is extremely important to us. If you would like to read the Safeguarding Policy, copies are available on request from the school office or can be downloaded below.
We encourage children, parents, carers, and staff to speak up about any concerns they may have about a child’s safety or well-being. If needed, these concerns can be shared confidentially with our Designated Safeguarding Lead and Child Protection Officer .
Our designated points of contact are as follows:
| Name | Role | |
| Carmen Batchelor | Designated Safeguarding Lead | |
| Sarah Grant | Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead | |
| Louise Davis | Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead | |
| Paul James | Governor Safeguarding Lead | |
